Daphne Maxwell Reid's Fresh Prints
Cape Verde
My first visit to the Cape Verde Islands off the west coast of Africa, was a whirlwind. After landing in the capital city of Praia, we were zipped all over the island of Santiago while documenting the travels of the scale model vessel, The Amistad, sailing a teaching mission on the old slave route from Senegal, stopping in Cape Verde, on to Barbados, and back to America. Taking the opportunity to walk around the island on the rare occasions that I had a break from filming, the exuberance of color and texture found on Cape Verde’s doors fascinated me. You can all but feel the texture in the prints. I will be back to photograph more of them. PRICES REDUCED!!! CLICK ON IMAGE TO ENLARGE OR PURCHASE.
